It is also our mission to give back and help the Bridgeport community.
Every May, our offices close down for a day and we head out to make a positive difference in the communities we serve as Realtors. We call this Red Day.
For this year’s Red Day, we chose to support SWAG (Sports With Academic Growth), a non-profit that runs a free youth basketball program. It was founded by Gary Nelson, Jr., who is passionate about helping kids. He doesn’t just offer basketball; he’s also starting a drumline and a summer camp. The dedication and work he’s doing at SWAG moved us to reach out and help.
“It’s amazing to see the positive impact we’re making on this space where kids can learn and grow.”
The whole team of Keller William agents, geared up in our Red Day shirts, went to SWAG’s headquarters in Bridgeport to clean, tape, and give their gym, classrooms, and hallways a fresh coat of paint. It’s amazing to see the positive impact we’re making on this space where kids can learn and grow.
If you’d like to learn more about SWAG or even donate, you can find them on Facebook. They’re always looking for donations and volunteers; any kind of help is appreciated. Volunteering with Keller Williams on Red Day is a great way to make a difference. It’s a reminder that even a little effort can go a long way!
